Money Mindset is a Practice (Not a Problem)

Mornin' Brave Creator!
We are always practicing something.
For years, I practiced a belief that I didn’t have enough money. That I didn’t deserve to earn big money.💰
That it was dangerous to believe I could.
That practice was mostly unconscious. And it created a contraction.
It showed up in so many thoughts and moods that kept my energy for money trapped under the weight of fear.
It showed up in my choices — to shrink into the background, dim my light, and play it safe.
And boy, does that make sense.
My money mindset is transgenerational.
😥After my grandparents died months apart, my parents found $300,000 in cash they’d never told them about — presumably saved for a rainy day, or that trip to Europe my grandmother always wanted to take… but never did.
😳When I was in my early 20s, I actually fainted during a retail interview when the manager showed me how to use the cash register.
You feel me here, First name / friend?
Getting into a right relationship with money is a practice. Like all creative work, it’s a process.
We can’t change our internal systems overnight.
So how do we begin to shift these deeply entrenched beliefs?
💫We focus on what we long for.
Surprised?
It’s not about shaming ourselves or “fixing” what’s wrong. It’s about centering your practice on desiring money.
That’s right — desiring it. Not needing it, but allowing it.
Inviting it in.
This Friday, I’m leading a private retreat for my clients on this exact practice.
But you can begin your process too.
✨ Reflection for you: What belief about money have you been practicing — and is it one you want to keep rehearsing? (Hit reply, would love to know!) |
