I jumped into the deep end again my dear creator!

Of the dozen speaker applications I submitted this fall, one was finally accepted.

It feels great to get a yes. 🎉

And… there’s a caveat.

So — do I accept?

I’ll skip the suspense.

I said Yes.

Why?

I’ve invested a lot of time and money over the past two years creating my signature talk.

And it’s been over a year since I’ve been in front of a large audience.

I know this: the longer I stay away from my material, the scarier it gets to jump back in.

Plus, this is a chance to play with the work — and I’m planning something fun and alive for this audience.

So this investment feels right. Right now.

Another year from now? Maybe not. 📅

But now? Yes. (Yikes!)

I get discouraged. Doubtful. Afraid.

They still show up and rattle my nervous system 😱 — of course they do.

But I move through them faster and with more care.

And more often than not, I choose what my heart wants to experience.

Why?

Because I’d rather feel the scary, messy, thrilling truth of being alive than stay safe and never discover who I really am.
