It's Easy to Forget...To Remember takes Courage
It's so easy to forget who we really are. Today is the eleventh anniversary of my husband's death. For at least three years before he died, he began forgetting himself. What's Your Scene, Man?
I moved to NYC in 1994 to go to grad school. Back then, I didn't know I wanted from life. I just knew what I wanted right then : I wanted to be with other artists. At NYU's Tisch School, I was part of a scene, I guess — a thoughtful, creative, courageous community that helped each other make things and think hard things through.
