WHO I AM
Throughout my career, I have coached performing artists, writers, musicians, painters, designers and non-profit professionals from early career and through mid-career work and life transitions. As a creative artist working in performance art and creative writing, and with a family of creatives, I understand what drives art making and fuels creativity. The highlights of my over 25 year career in fundraising and planning in the non-profit arts arena have been the stories I wrote with artists to bring projects to life that had the power to change people through powerful, resonant, intimate art. I credit the experience of my husband's addiction and death, and raising school-aged children as a solo parent, for transforming my lifelong passion for personal growth into a spiritual path that continues to deepen every day.
I have a degree in psychology and a masters in performance studies from NYU with training in creative business planning, group facilitation, mindfulness practices and performance. I have written and performed my personal stories and helped others write theirs for college essays and with writers. I was co-founder of Rivertown Artists Workshop and over the past 20 years I’ve led workshops on personal story writing, performance, and strategic planning. I am a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and am completing my Creativity Coaching Association certification. I am a scholarship recipient of the 2021 conscious leadership certificate program of Sounds True and New York University, called the InnerMBA.
